Although the Hublot Big Bang 44mm 301.SX.1170.SX watch is up to snuff in terms of quality and price, I find it to be a bit of a bore. The Hublot name guarantees savvy inner workings and authentic materials and, of course, this watch is no exception. Nevertheless, I am not a fan of rubber bands on five-figure time-tellers and certainly not conjoined with a clunky stainless steel face and bezel. For a few thousand dollars less, you can find a fashionable GUCCI Men’s YA126222 G-Timeless Brown Chronograph G Dial or a Gucci Men’s YA126221 G-Timeless Chronograph Black Dial Steel Bracelet watch, offering more style and distinction. At just shy of $3,000 (only ¼ of the Hublot Big Bang 44mm 301.SX.1170.SX retail price), you can purchase a pragmatic, athletic Invicta Men’s 6555 Subaqua Noma IV Collection Chronograph Stainless Steel watch for the serious diver, which offers a slick sporty look and more extensive features. In essence, there are too many lower priced, high quality, high-end comparables to make it worth your while to break the $10,000 mark on this purchase.

If you want more “bang for your buck”, you’re barking up the wrong tree with the Hublot Big Bang 44mm 301.SX.1170.SX. While the Hublot name guarantees quality, this watch offers no bells and whistles feature-wise and thus you are only paying for the brand name.

In addition to brand-name bragging rights, the Hublot Big Bang 44mm 301.SX.1170.SX offers very few features.

As you would expect, all of the external components and inner workings are made from high quality materials. Other than that, there is not much to tell. If you are going to splurge in the five-figure range, why not go for a stylish Cartier Ballon Bleu Steel for a few thousand less and a snazzier look and feel or pay much less for a stylish Gucci in the four-figure range?  In short, there are far too many watches to choose from in this price range plus to settle. While the high quality materials justify the price in some respects, in this price range it is worth your time to look for alternatives. When you do a small amount of comparative research, in this case, I think you will be pleased to find many watches that are comparably priced and preferable. Take my advice: We live in a capitalist world! Spend some time, do your homework, and try to get the most bang for your buck. If you truly fall in love this Hublot Big Bang 44mm 301.SX.1170.SX aesthetically or you are an avid lover of the Hublot name and you don’t want to pay on the higher end of the five-figure range for one of their pricier alternatives, go ahead and buy it. Otherwise, I implore you to peruse a few Cartier and Gucci comparables and find yourself a better deal!
