Hublot Big Bang Gold 44mm 301.PX.130.RX Watch Review
Written By: Olivia Hernandez
The Hublot brand has long been known for portraying the “Art of Fusion” in its watchmaking. The Hublot Big Bang Gold 44mm 301.PX.130.RX follows this proud tradition by blending the practicality of rubber with the decadence of rose gold, resulting in a stylish and classy men’s watch.
Hublot’s Big Bang Collection follows the rules of Swiss watchmaking, ensuring elegance and reliability with every model. This watch comes with all the features you would expect from the collection, including:
- 18 karat rose gold case and bezel
- Black rubber strap
- Automatic chronograph movement with stopwatch functions
- Power reserve of 42 hours
- Three sub-dials
- Date function
- Water-resistant up to 100 meters (330 feet)
The water-resistant feature makes this watch a good option for an active man looking for a stylish and attractive way to keep time. The three sub-dials add to the functionality of the piece. There is a 30 minute sub-dial at the 3 o’clock position, a 12 hour sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position, and a running seconds sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position. The date function is located in between the 4 and 5 o’clock hours. While these sub-dials are useful as time-keeping functions, they have the drawback of making the face of the watch look slightly cluttered. While all the rose gold pieces in the Big Bang 44mm Collection have these sub-dials, the Hublot Big Bang 44mm King Black Magic 312.CM.1120.RX model offers a more sleek look, if you would rather do without the extra features that the sub-dials offer.
This Big Bang Gold timepiece manages to incorporate useful functions such as the stopwatch and date functions, while still retaining the visual appeal of the rose gold face. With 18 karats of rose gold to account for, this watch has a retail price of $36,700.00, a fairly affordable price by Hublot standards. For the man to whom style and brand is important, this watch could be an excellent buy.
